The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the Retail Tractor Sales Report for July 2026. According to the latest report, 1,17,349 tractors were retailed across India during the month, compared to 91,604 units in July 2025, registering a 28.13% year-on-year (YoY) growth.
The strong retail performance was supported by favourable monsoon conditions, steady progress in Kharif sowing, and improving rural demand. Most leading tractor manufacturers recorded double-digit growth, while market share gains varied across brands.
Mahindra & Mahindra's Tractor Division continued to dominate the Indian retail tractor market by selling 26,863 units in July 2026, compared to 20,617 units during the same month last year. The company posted 30.31% YoY growth while increasing its market share from 22.51% to 22.89%.
Mahindra's Swaraj Division maintained its position as the country's second-largest tractor brand by retailing 22,334 units. The brand registered 33.41% growth over July 2025 and increased its market share to 19.03%.
International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) sold 15,991 tractors during July 2026, recording a 24.69% YoY increase. Despite higher sales, the company's market share slipped slightly to 13.63%.
TAFE emerged as the fastest-growing major tractor manufacturer in July 2026. The company retailed 14,178 units, registering an impressive 46.83% YoY growth and the highest market share gain among all major brands.
Escorts Kubota reported retail sales of 12,782 units in July 2026, up from 9,202 units in the same month last year. The company registered 39.01% YoY growth and improved its market share.
John Deere India retailed 8,087 tractors during July 2026, recording a 15.73% increase over the previous year. However, its market share declined slightly due to faster industry growth.
Eicher Tractors sold 7,910 units in July 2026, compared to 6,321 units a year earlier. The company posted 25.13% YoY growth, although its market share dipped marginally.
CNH Industrial (New Holland India) recorded retail sales of 5,417 units, up from 3,932 units in July 2025. The company achieved 37.79% YoY growth while increasing its market share to 4.62%.
The "Others" category remained the only segment to register a decline in July 2026. Retail sales dropped to 3,787 units, while market share also decreased significantly.
India's retail tractor market maintained strong momentum in July 2026 with sales crossing 1.17 lakh units. Healthy agricultural activity, improving rural sentiment, and favourable monsoon conditions continued to support demand across the country. While Mahindra retained its leadership, TAFE emerged as the fastest-growing major tractor manufacturer, and most leading brands recorded healthy double-digit growth, reflecting positive momentum for the industry in the coming months.
