How many farmers are included in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

The Government of India is making continuous efforts to increase the income of farmers. Therefore, the main objective of the government is to extend the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana to as many eligible farmers as possible. Now 34 lakh farmers have been included under the scheme. Various schemes are made by the government to improve the economic condition of farmers. Let us tell you that through these schemes, financial assistance is also given to the farmers. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is being run by the government to provide financial support to the farmers.By the means of this Yojana farmers with small fields are given 6000 rupees annually. But, the government had largely excluded farmers from the scheme. However, now the government has re-included lakhs of farmers in the scheme.


Last year's numbers on beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana

According to reports, the amount of money paid to farmers between April and July 2022 was Rs 10.47 crore. Let us tell you that after a few months it fell to Rs 8.12 crore. But, now the government has included 34 lakh farmers in the scheme, out of which the maximum number of farmers are said to be from Uttar Pradesh. The government aims to provide the benefits of the scheme to as many eligible farmers as possible.

What are the figures for beneficiary farmers from different states?

Out of 34 lakh farmer beneficiaries, maximum include 8.50 lakh farmers in Uttar Pradesh, 2.39 lakh in Rajasthan, 2.27 lakh in Manipur, 2.2 lakh in Jharkhand and 1.89 lakh farmers in Maharashtra. A large number of farmers are being included in this scheme through Vikas Bharat Yatra also. This yatra started on 15th November, which will continue till 26th January. Unter the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana farmers will get 6000 rupees every four months by DBT. This scheme was launched on February 24, 2019, just before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.


What has Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on this matter?

Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar sed in Lok Sabha that there are 10.47 crore beneficiaries in July 2022. But, there has been a decline of 20 percent in one year. On November 15 this year, 34 lakh people participated in the Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Most of these farmers are from UP.
