Arka Garima variety


Arka Garima variety of cowpeas gives excellent production during rainy and spring seasons. Arka Garima variety ripens in a time interval of 40-45 days. Let us tell you that it gives a yield of about 80 quintals per hectare.

Pusa rainy season


It is known from the name of this variety of cowpea that if farmers plant it in their fields during the rainy season, they will get excellent yields. The beans of the Pusa Barsati variety of cowpea are light green. This variety is approximately 26 to 28 cm long. Also, it ripens in the field within 45-50 days. This variety gives production up to 85-100 quintals per hectare.


Pusa Rituraj variety.


This variety of cowpea is considered very good to eat. The beans of this variety are green in color. Also, it gives a yield of about 75 to 80 quintals per hectare.

 The Uttar Pradesh government is running various types of schemes regarding cow rearing. The main objective of the Uttar Pradesh government is to encourage cow breeding as well as increase milk production in the state. The state government is running Gopalak Yojana, Nand Baba Yojana, Nandini Krishak Samriddh Yojana, and cow promotion schemes in the state for the rearing of cow breeds in the state. Based on all these schemes, the state government is providing a huge amount of subsidy along with various other types of help to the farmers or those opening dairies. The state government is currently running the Nandini Krishak Samridhi Yojana. Under this scheme, the Yogi government will provide up to 50 percent grants in three parts on projects worth Rs 62 lakh.



The subsidy will be given to cows of major breeds.


The Uttar Pradesh government will provide this grant amount in three parts. But, there will be some major conditions of the state government for this. Any person can take advantage of this scheme only after fulfilling these conditions. The state government will allocate funds only for rearing cows which give more milk in terms of milk production. Cows of these species include indigenous cows of Tharparkar, Gill breed, and Sahiwal cows. To avail the benefit of this scheme, cattle farmers will have to show about 10 children of these breeds, after which they will be able to avail about 25 percent of the grant amount. To avail the benefits of this scheme, you will have to apply by 25th October.

For this, you will have to fill out the form by clicking on its official website www.animalhusb.upsdc.gov.in. Along with this, they must show their own or leased area for animal husbandry. Only registered farmers of Uttar Pradesh state will be able to avail the benefit of this scheme. Farmers should have about three years of experience related to cow rearing. Along with this, the beneficiaries who have already availed of the benefits of Kamdhenu will not be able to avail of its benefits.

CM Yogi Adityanath has started the Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow Promotion Scheme under the 'Nand Baba Milk Mission' in Uttar Pradesh. In this series, Chief Minister Yogi has started the Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow Promotion Scheme under 'Nand Baba Milk Mission'. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the income of cow farmers of UP and provide employment in animal husbandry. Apart from this, cow farmers' interest in indigenous breeds of cows from other states can be increased. Besides, milk production can also increase. Also, a government order has been issued regarding the scheme. The eligibility criteria, purpose, and nature of subsidy related to this scheme have been given in the government order.

Know which cows you will get a subsidy on purchasing

According to the Mukhyamantri Swadeshi Yojana, cow farmers will be provided a subsidy on the amount spent on transportation, transit insurance animal insurance, and other items if they purchase cows of Tharparkar, Gir, Hybrid, and Sahiwal breeds from other states. Cow farmers will get this grant to purchase two indigenous breed cows. This grant will be given to cow farmers at 40 percent of the total cost i.e. Rs 80 thousand. First, this scheme will be implemented only in the headquarters districts of 18 divisions of Uttar Pradesh. After this, it will be implemented in the districts of the entire state.

Under the Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow Promotion Scheme, grants will be given to the beneficiaries for the purchase of cows, transportation, transit insurance, and animal insurance, 3 years of animal insurance, purchase of fodder cutting machine and facility for maintenance of cows, and construction of sheds. The department has fixed the cost of cow rearing among all these items at Rs 2 lakh for two indigenous breed cows. 40 percent of this means that a maximum of Rs 80 thousand will be given as a grant.

This technique is being used by veterinary assistants and veterinary area officers of Animal Husbandry Department in the veterinary hospitals, dispensaries and artificial insemination centers of their area and also by going door-to-door to the advanced farmers of that area through sex sated semen technique.
